The Edge of the World

Officially named Gardiner Point, is definitely not to be missed. The sea to the west of Tasmania is the longest uninterrupted expanse of ocean on the globe - there is no landmass between here and South America. Hence the naming of this spot as the Edge of the World!

This special place is the definition of the North West Tasmanian landscape, offering spectacular views of the rugged remote coastline. Take a few moments to venture out to the point and read the memorable plaque.
